The summer bash will christen the Olympic Park with two global superstars. Tickets on sale now
The rumours were true - two of the biggest urban-pop superstars will indeed be heading to the UK and in style. After the excitement of the London Olympics in 2012, the area will be put to good use this year, with the presence of the annual Wireless Festival 2013 at Stratford's Olympic Park now confirmed and ready to launch - big time.
And, as headliners go, the organizers haven't disappointed you.
On Friday 12th July, Justin Timberlake will follow up his recent Grammy Awards performance with a dazzling headlining slot to wow the crowds. The Saturday 13th July headliner just happens to be his partner-in-dance at the Grammys, Jay-Z! As if the Carters aren't already taking over the UK with the missus touring here in the spring (Beyonce's Mrs Carter Tour is on sale the day after Wireless, pop fanatics), hubby is also going to be tearing up East London as well.
He and Trousersnake are not the only reasons to go - the support acts are no small potatoes either.
Justin's comes in the shape of Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, John Legend and special guest Frank Ocean, while Jay-Z will have Emeli Sandé, Rita Ora, Kendrick Lamar, DJ Fresh (live) and special guest Calvin Harris. Perhaps the luckiest fella on the block is Miguel who is performing on BOTH nights. Way to go.
Tickets on sale now, priced at £110 for BOTH days or £57.50 for each day. Needless to say, demand will be through the roof (if indeed, there was a roof to start with).
