Jake Bugg

"Mornin', it's another pure grey mornin'.....". Well actually Jake, it's a rather bright blue day here for a few reasons. Er, the sun is out, for one thing. There are no clouds, for another. And you've confirmed another UK tour - surely that's reason enough for it not to be a grey morning.

Those quoted words have, in just a short space of time, become Jake Bugg's signature lyrics - log onto his website and his smash-hit "Lightning Bolt" will jangle out of your PC speakers like a reassuring friend wooing you to stay a little longer. It works. And whoever manages the site has no doubt been busy news-wise since its creation, with Bugg never far away from something worth reporting or celebrating.

For instance, he's sold out his entire spring tour (at the time of writing, it's continuing this week in Norwich, Brighton, etc.), plus he's up for a BRIT Award (Best Breakthrough Act - he should walk it) and he's performing at the Isle of Wight Festival, The Stone Roses' Glasgow Green show on 15th June and a home-town headlining slot at Nottingham's Splendour 2013 on 20th July.

But, as they say, it really is all about the gigs and plenty of them - Jake Bugg will return for another headline UK tour in the autumn. Confirmed so far are October and November shows in Bournemouth, Plymouth, Brighton, Brixton, Swindon, Birmingham, Doncaster, Glasgow and Manchester with more to be announced in due course.

Tickets on sale now, priced from £17.50 to £20 - they're bound to sell fast!
