Tom Meighan's award-winning rockers warm up for Teenage Cancer Trust concert, tickets on sale [15/2/2013 9:00]
Kasabian

One band criminally overlooked for a BRIT Award this year are Kasabian, whose last victory at the annual gongs was in 2010 for Best British Group. Although they were nominated for the same award last year, this year they've been overlooked, even after a 2012 which brought them headline shows at T in the Park and the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Ho hum, there's always next year.

For 2013, following on from their powerful return-to-form, "Velociraptor!", Kasabian will be ramping up the live appearances, the biggest pair of which are at the Give It Up For Comic Relief bash at Wembley Arena on 6th March (with comedy and music hosted Russell Brand and starring Frankie Boyle, Eddie Izzard and Simon Amstell, plus musical luminaries such as your heroes, as well as Jake Bugg, Jessie J and Noel Gallagher) and a Teenage Cancer Trust evening at London's Royal Albert Hall on 22nd March which is now sold out.

Before you exclaim, 'but it's all London, London, London', turn your nose southwards slightly - Kasabian have earmarked two intimate shows (well, for them they're intimate) at opposite ends of the country. Designed as warm-up shows for the above TCT concert, the lucky towns are Doncaster on 19th March and Plymouth on the 20th.

Tickets on sale now, priced at £35 for both shows. Demand for both will be, frankly, enormous seeing as neither town typically gets too many rock-acts of this stature!
