Celebrating almost 30 years in the business, opera's multi-platinum selling Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will be returning to the UK for two very special appointments in the autumn - concerts at the brand-new Leeds Arena and Glasgow's Hydro!

After performing several sold-out shows around the country in the autumn, including two nights in London and an iTunes Festival slot earlier in the year, Bocelli's return can't come soon enough for fans in the north-east who are used to seeing his usual schedule bypass the region for the north-west, the Midlands and the south. The Scottish show is his first since 2009.

The new Leeds venue, set to open in the autumn, has already enlisted the likes of Elton John, Kaiser Chiefs, JLS and Micky Flanagan to fill its exciting inaugural season, but Bocelli's name represents a shift towards the arts, albeit crossover. He regularly sells out shows around the world and this one on 14th September looks set to be no exception. The Glasgow date on the following night will also be subject to huge demand, his first engagement in Scotland for four years.

Tickets on sale now.

Another date to consider is 29th January - Bocelli's next album, the follow-up to 2012's "Opera", is "Passione", a collection of romantic opera pieces and mainstream duets (including one with Jennifer Lopez).
