Fiction follow up NME Awards Show with full 2013 UK tour

Londoners celebrate release of The Big Other with string of spring gigs, tickets on sale [11/1/2013]

A little over two years ago, indie magazine icon NME hailed poppy new-wavers Fiction as one of their (many) Radar of the Week nominations. It's good to see a bit of loyalty - the same magazine and the same band will be featuring in each other's plans during the coming weeks.

Fiction's star is beginning to rise again after the recent confirmation that their debut-album was finished and ready for release on quirky indie, Moshi Moshi. They were duly installed as headliners at one of their (many) NME Awards Show events coming up in February - it's at Islington's Electrowerkz on the 25th, tickets are still on sale and cost £8.60.

And so, with that high-profile show out of the way, Fiction will follow it with the album, "The Big Other" (out in March) and a proper headlining all-to-themselves UK tour. There are a string of dates to get through, starting with Portsmouth on 15th March, followed by Bournemouth, Guildford, Cambridge and plenty more around the North and Scotland, before heading south for Reading on 30th March.

Tickets on sale now with prices at a tenner or less, depending on venue.
