Californian rockers unveil new video and tour-dates for April 2013, on sale from 9th January
Rival Sons

Scott Holiday's surf-blues rockers Rival Sons have been making a habit of selling out shows and it's not hard to see (or hear) why. Slotting right in where the likes of Tame Impala and Flaming Lips normally occupy, that is sunshine-soaked tripped-out rock, Rival Sons are finally beginning to get fully-justified props from the UK press. Hell, if NME puts a band on the cover, it's normally for a good reason.

Formed around five years ago, the band went largely unnoticed back home in the States, yet have scooped up fans across Scandanavia and, er, Switzerland where their last album troubled the charts in those territories. Although their debut set "Before The Fire" failed to ignite (sorry) much interest, 2011's "Pressure and Time" caught the eyes and ears of a core following before Rival Sons finally struck paydirt with 2012's "Head Down". You can check out their recent decent animated video for album-track "Until The Sun Comes", above.

Even better news is Rival Sons' UK tour, starting in April. They've confirmed London's Shepherd's Bush Empire (on the 9th), then Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh, Preston and Cambridge, which is on the 16th. We'll have tickets for from 10am on Wednesday 9th January, priced at £12 (£14 for London).
