Acclaimed Americana couple return with new album and clutch of shows, tickets on sale now
The Handsome Family

Celebrating twenty years since their formation in 1993, hubbie and wife Brett and Rennie will be continuing to build a legacy of beautifully crafted US roots music with another new album and a UK tour in the spring of next year.

The twosome have wooed critics since early album releases such as their debut "Odessa" and the sophomore "Milk and Scissors". But it was for album number three that the acclaim started to gather pace, bringing them across the Atlantic in the wake of Brett's diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder and the resultant "Through the Trees". As a result, the pair jacked in their jobs and signed their futures over to The Handsome Family, releasing a further glut of emotional country and dark Americana that is more likely to soundtrack deserted dustbowls than heaving mid-West bars.

2013 will see the pair follow up their 2009 album "Honey Moon" with their ninth full-length set - entitled somewhat aptly as "Wilderness", the collection should appear sometime in May at around the same time as their next travels across the pond.

The tour sees the band in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Bristol and more, with tickets on sale now priced from around £12.
