Fossil Collective announce huge album-launch tour for 2013

Leeds alt-folk collective to unveil new songs in new towns next year, tickets on sale now

What's great about Fossil Collective, apart from their infectious brand of epic folk-rock of course, is that they seem to be playing live all the time, apart from Bank Holidays perhaps. Oh, and Christmas. They need little excuse these days to fuel up the tour-van and pack the plectrums and sat-nav, apart from a new release - they've just finished a UK tour in support of the acclaimed EP "On and On", for example, and support slots for the ill-fated Civil Wars. These days, many lesser bands wouldn't get out of bed for anything less than a box-set.

So, it's refreshing to learn of Fossil Collective's intent to cover new ground in 2013 by announcing a lengthy jaunt to promote their debut-album, as yet untitled and due for release in the New Year. Having garnered acclaim for their first releases, including their debut EP "Let It Go", the Leeds outfit have slowly built a following around the UK, hence the array of towns chosen for these dates. If you're one of those fans, prepare to hear that new album in some detail.

First stop on the tour is York on 10th April 2013, followed by Nottingham, Oxford, Hull and lots more until the final pairing in Newcastle on 3rd May and a slot at next year's Liverpool SoundCity festival on the 4th. We have tickets on sale for most of the shows right now, with many priced at under a tenner!
