Next month sees four great acts coming together for the annual NME Awards Tour, with Django Django heading up the tour, alongside Miles Kane, Palma Violets and Peace, who both missed out on the BBC Sound of 2013 (pah, what do they know?).

One of the quartet, Miles Kane, has announced two hot warm-up shows just prior to the tour that you simply have to go for. The first is in Wrexham on Monday 4th February at the town's Central Station venue, the second the following day at Reading's Sub89 with tickets costing £12.50 for Reading (on sale now) and £14 for Wrexham (on sale from Tuesday 8th January at 10am).

The NME Awards Tour 2013 will kick off in Newcastle on 7th February, followed by stops in Manchester, Leeds and more until Brixton on 23rd February. Tickets are on sale now with a percentage of each £19.10 (£20.60 for London) ticket sold going to Teenage Cancer Trust.

Feted by many as the 'next big thing' are fidgety prog-funksters Django Django, whose delicious fusion of quirky alternative rhythms and catchy choruses helped formulate their excellent eponymous debut-album. Fast becoming a proper live draw, the band will headline the tour.

It gets even better with the remaining three slots on the bill with Kane, rowdy garage-rock sensations Palma Violets and openers Peace, a perfect reason to turn up to these shows early. Four bands on one bill - what are you waiting for?
