It's been quite a year for power-prog trio Muse, perhaps surpassing even their own expectations. Despite not having headlined a tour since 2009, releasing an album for almost as long and performing a free show at the iTunes Festival in September, Muse's profile is as high as ever, comparable with Everest (the mountain, not the glazing company).
Last month, the band toured the UK in support of their 6th album "The 2nd Law", a beast of a collection that threatened to be a radical departure into the realms of slack-trousered dubstep and grime, yet is probably the most Muse album you could wish to devour - it seriously rocks, as anyone who experienced their October shows will testify. Recent singles "Survival" and "Madness" will be followed up by the cinematic and dramatic "Follow Me" on 10th December, hardly a contender for this year's Christmas #1 but, who cares? It continues with the electronic overtones of "Madness" and is unmistakably Muse.
Imagine all this new material being blasted out of a massive stadium p.a. system - yes, that's right, Muse are touring the UK in 2013 after all, giving you another chance to see their explosive live show at first hand.
For the early summer tour, Muse will perform a handful of shows around the UK including Coventry's Ricoh Arena on 22nd May, Arsenal's Emirates on 25th and 26th and Man City's Etihad Stadium on 1st June. Ticket prices start at £49.50 and we'll have tickets for all shows on sale from 9am Friday 23rd November.
Not even the large capacity of each stadium can ensure these won't sell out in minutes...
