Biffy Clyro

You cannot deny just how huge Biffy Clyro have become during the past decade, evolving from a spiky alt-rock outfit from Kilmarnock, through being key-players in the UK rock-scene and now ultimately, a global force to be reckoned with and pinned to every self-respecting fan's bedroom wall.

Their albums, "Puzzle" and "Only Revolutions", successfully catapulted them into the hearts and minds of a new generation of young metal-heads and twenty-something rock and pop fans alike. Dubbed as the Welsh Foo Fighters by a lazy few (perhaps because they supported the real Grohl machine at Milton Keynes Bowl in 2011), Biffy's hit-rate has been naggingly consistent, both with albums and shows.

Last year, they had a Best Live Band award thrown at them by NME, as well as Best this-and-that from Q and Kerrang!! What's the betting that their next planned jaunt around the UK will also harvest some gongs to fill up the trophy cabinet?

Next year, new double-album "Opposites" will hit the shelves and servers, a statement of intent from a band who clearly still have a lot of creativity in the tank. Alongside the release of their sixth album, Biffy Clyro will be touring the UK in the spring, starting with Newcastle on 20th March 2013, followed by Birmingham, Cardiff and all the usual arenas around the UK (and Dublin) until winding up the tour in London (at the O2 Arena) on 3rd April.

We will have tickets to these shows from 9am on Friday 26th October 2012. Prices will range from £26.50 to £29.50 (plus fees) and they'll sell very quickly. Listen out for a special Zane Lowe session to be recorded at Maida Vale Studios on Thursday (25th Oct).
