Funeral For a Friend unveil new album and extensive 2013 UK tour

Posted: 11 years ago
'Conduit' and headline dates confirmed for early next year, tickets on sale from Monday 15th October 2012

If you're a Funeral for a Friend fan, you'll already know about their upcoming appearance at the Vans Warped Tour 2012 slot at London's Alexandra Palace - which is a good job because the event itself is now totally sold out [they play Bath the day before - tickets still available - Ed]. But weep not, metalheads - FFAF have announced an extensive and rather intimate UK tour of their own, although they have other business to attend to first.

The small matter of finishing off their sixth studio album happens to be one such scheduled task - "Conduit" is due out on 28th January 2013 and promises to be just, if not more, powerful than previous releases such as last year's "Welcome Home to Armageddon". With ex-Rise to Remain drummer Pat Lundy in the hot seat and go-to producer Romesh Dodangoda juggling knobs (erm, I meant he's the producer), "Conduit" promises to translate into a considerable live show - check out the video for lead-off single "Best Friends and Hospital Beds", nice eh?

Back to those all-important tour-dates. Belfast will be the first stop on 23rd January, prior to Derry, Cork and Dublin and a subsequent ferry-trip over to Cardiff on the 28th. The tour continues throughout the UK including Plymouth, Cambridge, York etc until bedding down in London on 18th February and Birmingham on the 19th. Support for the tour comes in the shape of New Yorkers Such Gold plus Major League (in place of Daytrader) and I Divide.

We'll have tickets on sale from 9am Monday 15th October, priced from £14 regionally, £16 for London. Please be aware that the venues chosen are not huge, instead chosen for their warmth, intimacy and, above all, intense atmosphere.
