Normally when announcing the headlining act for a Kerrang!-sponsored tour, we'd suggest packing your earplugs, booze, best ripped jeans and ticket as soon as possible. This year however, we're urging you to do all that AND raid your eye-wear box (or your sister's) because (drum-solo) Black Veil Brides and Fearless Vampire Killers are featured on this year's branded bash.

The Kerrang! Tour 2013 is a change in tack for the biggest metal magazine on the planet - rather than stick with the usual formula of established hard-rock bands such as Biffy Clyro, Coheed and Cambria, All Time Low, The Blackout (last year's Sum 41 sadly ducked out, remember?), the organizers have rather bravely gone for 'fun' in the shape of the above two acts.

Black Veil Brides are no doubt gearing up to follow up their 2011 hit-album "Set The World on Fire" - entitled (rather dramatically) "Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones", the third album will appear fittingly on Halloween. Fearless Vampire Killers will no doubt be partying at around the same time, although their 2012 album came out earlier this year, snappily-titled "Militia of the Lost".

One band who will certainly command a following throughout the tour is Chiodos whose original lead-screamer Craig Owens and skins-thumper Derrick Frost have rejoined the band for album number four, due in 2013. And last but by no means least, Tonight Alive will bring some thunder from down-under in the form of tunes from recently issued (in the UK anyway) "What Are You So Scared Of?". Quite.

The tour kicks off in Cardiff on 3rd February 2013, followed by Manchester, Bristol, Southampton and loads more until Brixton Academy trembles under the sheer weight of noise on the 15th. Prices are pretty good for four bands - £16.50 (£17.50 for London).

We'll have tickets on sale for all the shows from 9am on Friday 12th October - be ready...
