Caro Emerald returns to the UK with spring 2013 dates

Posted: 11 years ago
The Dutch singer and her band will play dates including the Royal Albert Hall in March, tickets on sale Friday 28th September

It's already been around three years since a Dutch jazz singer called Caroline Esmeralda van der Leeuw began making a name for herself as the sparkling Caro Emerald. Her debut collection of beguiling jazz-pop, 2010's Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor, topped the charts in the Netherlands and announced itself on the UK countdown at an impressive No 4.

A live album was released last year but it's the follow-up to Deleted Scenes which is so eagerly anticipated. The word on the street* (*internet) is that the new record should be ready for release sometime early in 2013, which would appear to coincide nicely with a clutch of dates just announced for the spring.

A cupboard-ful of European music awards, live slots on a range of TV shows including Jools Holland's Hootenanny and continued airplay and session work for major radio stations all suggest Caro will not struggle to follow the success of hits like 2009's A Night Like This. You can find out in March, at some impressive venues.

The short tour kicks off on 8th March at the Dome in Brighton, followed by Bournemouth (9th March) and then the final date announced so far at the Royal Albert Hall on 11th March 2013. We will have tickets available from 10am on Friday 28th September.
