One passport, bearing the name Alicia Beth Moore, will soon be winging its way into the hand luggage of one of the biggest female pop stars of our generation - ladies and gentleman, Pink. Or P!nk, as she prefers to be exclaimed these days.
With more awards garnered in twelve years than most, P!nk is big business and has been from day one, give or take. 32 million albums shifted worldwide, over 30 awards won, including a BRIT in 2003 for Best International Female Solo Artist and numerous other Grammys etc. A prominent campaigner for animal rights, P!nk's recent foray into motherhood might have seen her calm down and carry on gently - not so. With album number six, 'The Truth About Love', currently bothering European and American charts, as well as spending some time writing songs for Cher's new album (you can see that partnership working, somehow - strong-minded women with a flair for the dramatic), the American isn't taking things easy by any means.
After leaving behind the year that drew her seventeenth Top 10 single ('Blow Me (One Last Kiss)'), 2013 will herald the return of P!nk to the global arena known as Planet Earth, including a brief UK stopover during the spring. Confirmed thus far are Dublin on 12th April, Manchester on 14th, Birmingham on the 21st and two stints at London's O2 Arena on 24th and 25th April 2013.
We will have tickets on sale from 9am Friday 28th September with prices expected to be 60/70 and upwards of £39.50 for UK shows.
