Green Day announce huge summer 2013 Emirates Stadium show

Fans given one month to save up for their only UK show next year, tickets on sale Friday 28th September 2012
Green Day

During the past weekend, one of the world's biggest stadium-filling American rock-bands entertained a small portion of alert fans at this year's Reading Festival. It was the worst-kept 'secret' in the world, but Green Day turned up (early, apparently) and blasted their way through a dozen or so songs before having the plug pulled on them (we're good at that, in Britain). So, if you were there and the strains of "Basket Case" are still rattling around your brain or, if you were stuck in traffic or missing out on Reading altogether and you're feeling pretty bitter about the whole thing, fear not - Green Day are coming to your rescue.

Next year, the multi-platinum rockers will be raising the roof (if it had a roof, that is) of the swanky Emirates Stadium in North London, home of Arsenal FC, when they play an exclusive show on 1st June 2013. 'Huh', we hear you grumble, 'how the heck am I going to pay for that right now?'. The great news is - the tickets aren't going on sale until next month. In fact you have until Friday 28th September 2012 to save some pennies, pay off the credit card or work some overtime to see your heroes.

Meanwhile, before the New Year kicks in and summer vanishes, new Green Day music will be available to buy in the form of three albums, "¡Uno!", "¡Dos!" and "¡Tré!", a trilogy of new material with the first volume on sale towards the end of September. Now, who said anything about saving money...?
