Regular viewers of the now-finished Saturday talent-show The Voice UK will be used to one Danny O'Donoghue, one of the series' four coaches alongside Tom Jones, Jessie J and will.i.am. In O'Donoghue's case, first-time casual viewers may not have been immediately familiar with the Beeb's choice, yet the Irish singer, songwriter and musician fronts one of Ireland's biggest rock-pop bands in recent memory.

Over a short space of time, The Script have also become one of the UK's biggest bands, without having to rely heavily on a slot on a series that reeled in around 9 million viewers. Imagine what their next release might do - can they make it three #1 albums in a row? After the chart-topping successes of their self-titled 2008 debut and its follow-up, "Science and Faith", the third studio album, cunningly christened "#3", looks set to follow suit with bells on. Fans have already 'favourited' 10th September on their smart phones for the release date.

While they're at it, fans of The Script might like to make a not of three very special intimate shows scheduled for the same week. As part of a promotional drive and a warm-up for a larger venue tour in the future (perhaps next year), the lads have confirmed a trio of September 2012 one-offs in Glasgow (9th), Manchester (10th) and Shepherd's Bush (12th).

We will have tickets for all three shows from 9.30am on Wednesday 15th August, priced at £27.50 (or £28.50 for London). Being smaller venues than usual (although not actually that small), all are likely to sell out in seconds.
