The Classic Rock Show

Let's (classic) rock. We each have a slightly different take on what constitutes 'classic rock' and, of course, the term 'classic' itself. While listeners to yoof radio may be challenged to recall "this all-time classic from two weeks ago", more mature or discerning music fans will immediately recollect the evocative sounds from their early life; a youth of wanting (and sometimes having) girls, guitars and motorbikes. A heady mix of Fender, Marshall, Zildjian, a British Triumph and Emily who works in Boots.

Thankfully, the Classic Rock Show leaves little room for wonky interpretation. A band of virtuoso rock musicians will spend two and a half hours, or so, taking the audience through some of the most anthemic and successful rock music ever recorded. The set list boasts The Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Meat Loaf, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Boston, Genesis, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more. Now THAT is classic rock. There will be head banging (well, nodding), air guitar, high fives and, of course, double denim.

The dates announced so far are for January and February 2013 and include a number of eye-catching shows, including Cardiff's St David's Hall, the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, Edinburgh's Queen's Hall and the Sage in Gateshead. There is a London date at Cadogan Hall on 21st January 2013.

We will have tickets available from 9am on Friday 3rd August, priced from £17.50 (Norwich) up to £27.50 for the Cadogan Hall show. You'll be needing one for you and one for your dad. And your dad's mate Stan.
