The Spin Doctors announce January 2013 UK tour dates

Posted: 11 years ago
New material and classic catalogue to feature in next year's shows, tickets on sale Wednesday 1st August/now

Prior to last year's successful sold-out tour, it had been a fair few years since The Spin Doctors graced this soil. But 2011 gave them good reason to - 'Pocket Full of Kryptonite', their massive five-times platinum album, was 20 years young and ripe for touring. Clearly, after selling out the UK leg of the tour, fans hadn't forgotten the jaunty soul-rock-bluesy good times demonstrated ably on hit-singles 'Two Princes' and 'Little Miss Can't Do Wrong'.

Despite never scaling the same heights as that debut album with following releases, The Spin Doctors did rack up a few more successes before splitting in 1999, namely its follow-up set 'Turn It Upside Down' (reached #3) and the Top 30 hit 'Cleopatra's Cat'. The band have issued just one album so far after regrouping in 2001, the Matt Wallace-produced 'Nice Talking To Me', as well as a 20th anniversary expanded version of 'Pocket Full Of Kryptonite', although drummer Aaron Comess has been busy with his combo's 'Beautiful Mistake' project.

For the coming twelve months, fans can look forward to new band material being aired on their next UK tour early next year. So far the band have confirmed Edinburgh on 23rd January, followed by Bristol, Wolverhampton and Islington on the 30th.

Be sure to be ready to go for tickets via us from 9am Wednesday 1st August - prices start at £15. NB - Bristol's show is available now!
