Asking Alexandria

Asking Alexandria may be from England's biggest county but they have their roots firmly in the Middle East. In fact, there have been two version of the metalcore band; the first formed in Dubai, by guitarist Ben Bruce, which released an album, The Irony of Your Perfection, before breaking up.

Bruce returned to the UK in 2008, bringing his guitar and the name Asking Alexandria with him. He soon contacted some old mates and resurrected the band, albeit with a totally different line-up bar the lead guitarist himself. Danny Worsnop took on lead vocal duties and the outfit set about recording their 'second debut', 2009's Stand Up and Scream.

The record boasted modest chart success in the US but made little commercial impact in the UK. The 2011 follow-up, however, was a huge step forward, checking in at No 9 on the US Billboard 200. The third, as yet unnamed, studio release from Asking Alexandria is anticipated later this year. In the US and UK, via Dubai and Yorkshire, the new material is eagerly awaited. With the album on its way, Asking Alexandria have lined up some UK shows for the New Year.

The short tour kicks off in Belfast on 16th January 2013, followed by January dates in Glasgow and then at the Brixton Academy. In February, Asking Alexandria play two more dates; at Birmingham on the 10th followed by the last date announced so far at the Manchester Academy on 11th February 2013. We have tickets available now, with prices starting at £16.
