Jessie Ware

Fresh from appearing at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend last week, Jessie Ware has an unexpected fight on her hands. As a soulful pop/R&B singer-songwriter from London, called Jessie, and sporting dark, frequently scraped back locks, it is likely that those familiar with Jessie J (i.e. everyone) find themselves doing a double-take when Brixton's Ware takes to the mic.

Emeli Sandé may have changed her stage moniker from her actual name of Adele as a tactic to avoid comparison with the all-conquering BRIT and Grammy winner, but Jessie Ware need have no such worries. With the annual merry-go-round of the 'Hot for 2013'-type lists mercifully six months away, Ware is free to woo us with her at-times understated British R&B and to release her debut album, Devotion, in August, away from the megawatt glare of overhype. Having toured with Jack Peñate and sung vocals for SBTRKT, the former backing singer is striking out on her own. It promises to be an interesting journey.

Jessie Ware kicks off her tour in Dublin on Bonfire Night, followed by UK shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds and more, before the final date at Thekla in Bristol on 14th November 2012. There is a London show at Electric Brixton (the singer's home turf) on Tuesday 13th November. We will have tickets available from 9am on Friday 29th June, priced £12.50 for London, £10 for the other UK dates and €17.85 for Dublin.

Ahead of the headline tour, the singer has a standout date on 15th August when she will be playing Plan B (venue) in Brixton. It is perhaps a sign of things to come for Jessie Ware that the show is already sold out - however, we do have some Premium tickets available.
