Hard Rock Calling 2012 - Soundgarden tickets for just £20!
Special Offer: Buy two tickets for less than the price of one - limited offer available now.
Seattle's seminal grunge and alt-rock outfit Soundgarden will headline the opening day of Hard Rock Calling 2012 that already features Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on Saturday and Paul Simon with Ladysmith Black Mambazo on Sunday. With the Bruce Springsteen show already sold out and Paul Simon on the brink of doing so, Friday's rock extravaganza still has a few standing spaces left.
Soundgarden's chops are considerable. The band was one of the key components of the so-called 'Seattle scene' in the '90s, but not before having already unleashed an uncompromising debut album in 'Ultramega OK' on SST in 1988. This album earned them a major label deal with A&M and their first hit album in 'Badmotorfinger', which contained three of their greatest singles in 'Jesus Christ Pose', 'Outshined' and the Johnny Cash-covered 'Rusty Cage'. Third and biggest album 'Superunknown' was and still is an out-and-out belter. 'Spoonman', 'Black Hole Sun' and 'The Day I Tried to Live', the track-list of goodies goes on. After just one more album, 'Down on the Upside', the band imploded in the mid-90s, before regrouping in 2010 with 'Telephantasm'.
You can expect to hear many familiar rock classics from a decade that lost the plot in many ways, but certainly not with these boys. Support comes from the legendary leathery-willowy live-wire Iggy Pop and the Stooges, plus Black Stone Cherry, Kids in Glass Houses, Cold Chisel, The Mars Volta and many more.
But why spend £50 for a ticket when you can get in for less than half-price? We have a terrific deal to tell you about that will solve your conundrum and save you a LOT of cash!
The Special Offer is: Buy tickets to Hard Rock Calling with Soundgarden for £20 instead of £50! The event, on Friday 13th July, opens at 2pm which means you'll get around 8hrs of rock for around £2.50 an hour!
