Danny and Ben from Thunder rumble on in 2013 with another acoustic UK tour

Posted: 11 years ago
Christmas shows also confirmed for the popular rockers, acoustic tickets on sale from Friday 15th June

Interest in '80s rock music has done Thunder the world of good recently. Having announced their first shows for some time last year, with most of the original line-up rocking up to raise the roof (and the sky) at 2011's High Voltage Festival and an exclusive Christmas bash in Nottingham, fans were also treated to a string of acoustic shows courtesy of founder members, Danny Bowes (singing) and Ben Matthews (instruments). Rather than the usual straddling of amps and posturing with V-shaped guitars (and there's 'owt wrong with that, of course), the twosome stripped the songs back to reveal an altogether more detailed re-reading of Thunder stormers.

If you missed out on this year's tour from Danny and Ben from Thunder, or the Christmas shows by the band themselves, your winter is just about to get a bit cheerier. As with before, the vocalist and musician will hook up again for 'Another Evening With...' series of gigs that promises different songs, different stories and a few different locations to boot. First stop on the tour in 2013 is Nottingham on 14th January, followed by Sheffield, Manchester, Bath, London and many more until the tour concludes in Brighton on 4th February. We will have tickets for all shows from Friday 15th June at 9am, with prices ranging from £18.50 to £19.50.

For Danny and Ben's acoustic gigs and the all-important Christmas band-shows, you can expect at least a few tunes from their best-selling albums 'Backstreet Symphony', 'Laughing on Judgement Day' and 'Behind Closed Doors'. For this year's festive rock-outs, the band have chosen Manchester's Academy for TWO shows on 21st and 22nd December, with the former already sold out and the latter still available priced at £30.
