TNA Maximum Impact V Tour coming to the UK in January 2013

The heavy hitters will be rocking arenas all across the UK and Ireland early next year; tickets go on sale Friday 25th May

Bring on THE CAGE. Yes, the spectacle of professional wrestling in the UK has come a very long way since the Saturday lunchtime World Of Sport shows which featured myriad wheezing journeymen bouncing off the ropes unconvincingly to Vimto-fuelled chants of 'Easy! Easy!'.

If that was a somewhat vaudevillian take on the sport of 'professional wrestling', the modern version is an all-digital 3D Imax experience of unparalleled colour and theatre. Several competing brands jockey for bragging rights but the appetite to see these bronzed behemoths clothes-line one another and deliver atomic wedgies to men in spandex onesies is undiluted.

And now there's the infamous Lockdown steel cage which will be seen on these shores for the very first time. The Wembley date is also going to be filmed for broadcast on Challenge TV, so expect the full Hollywood treatment when TNA stars such as Bobby Roode, Jeff Hary, Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, Velvet Sky and Gail Kim, plus loads more, take to the ring in the chilly mid-winter.

The TNA Maximum Impact V - The Road to Lockdown Tour hits Dublin on 21st January, crossing to the UK and Glasgow on 23rd, followed by dates in Nottingham, Manchester and finally Wembley, on Saturday 26th January 2013. We will have tickets available from 9am on Friday 25th May for the UK shows, priced from £22.50, rising to around £90 for the very best seats. Tickets for Dublin go on sale a few days earlier; at 9am on Tuesday 22nd May.
