In a week which sees rock fighting back with the announcement of the Vans Warped Tour hitting London, it's not surprising to learn of a NFG Road to Warped tour. As well as the London slot, headline shows with Less Than Jake, Man Overboard and more include Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. Prices start at £20.
If you are wondering why yet another London show has been announced by M83, it's because the French band's prior Somerset House show has already sold out. Brixton Academy's gig will take place on 8th November, priced from £22.50. Again, demand will be high.
After performing at Download in June, Finnish rockers Reckless Love will return to the UK in October for a nationwide tour which includes no less than FOUR London shows. They start in the capital, followed by Sheffield, Newcastle, Norwich and more until Brighton on the 24th and a final trip to London's Barfly on the 25th (the London shows take place every seven days).
Pre-sells for South Bank members have suggested that 10am Thursday morning will once again generate huge demand for the general public on-sale. The biggies are Elisabeth Fraser, Diamanda Galas, Laurie Anderson and Marc Almond, all at various prices.
The Welsh town of Pontypridd is gearing up for this weekender starring Friday evening headliner Jessie J (tickets on sale at 8am Thursday), Olly Murs (Saturday, already sold out) and Alfie Boe (Sunday is FREE - register first). Jessie's tickets cost £20 and will fly out.
After her recent appearance on Jools Holland, Jones has announced two more 2012 shows to follow up her two London concerts in June. The first is in Belfast on 6th September, followed by Dublin on the 7th. These rare shows will cost £38 and 49.65 respectively.
Despite releasing their last album in 1991, the Furs continue to tour. This summer will mark their return with rare dates in Edinburgh on 29th June, followed by York, a Hop Farm slot on 1st July, Manchester, Bristol, London and Nottingham on 6th July. All except Edinburgh and Hop Farm are on sale via us on Friday 11th May at 9am, priced £22.50-£25.
Pauline Black and Gaps Hendrickson will be following up their impending May dates in Clitheroe and Derby with a full UK tour in October, including Leicester, Oxford, Derby and Bournemouth amongst others. Other dates will be announced in due course.
They follow up their North American support slots with Florence and the Machine with a clutch of UK shows in the autumn, starting with Birmingham on 27th October, followed by Glasgow, Manchester and, once again, London (this time the larger HMV Forum).
