Paul Carrack

Sometimes you never really notice a good thing until it's gone. Thankfully this is not a health warning for the evidently fit and well and ever-youthful Paul Carrack but it is a note of caution about the quiet man on the album sleeve who has been discreetly soundtracking our lives for forty years.

There's the ever-present How Long, his 1975 hit with the band Ace, a No 5 single in the US no less. And let's not forget the effervescent Tempted from Squeeze, on which Carrack sang lead vocal. Plus of course there's his time playing keys for Roxy Music and his lead vocal duties for Mike + the Mechanics, singing hits including Silent Running, Over My Shoulder and the all-conquering In The Living Years.

What about his solo career - Eyes of Blue? How about the US Top Ten hit Don't Shed a Tear? The point being, Paul Carrack has been making all the right choices and hitting all the correct notes for around four decades. The songs listed here alone will make up half a set, or at least, a cracking encore. Not that's he's stopped putting out the good stuff, not at all. He released his latest single, Good Feelin' About It, in March and Carrack seems to have lost none of his velvety white soul cool.

Paul's autumn dates kick off in October, taking in Bournemouth, York, Ipswich, Llandudno, Preston and many more before the final gig in Harrogate on 28th November. The London date is at the IndigO2 on Wednesday 31st October.

We have a wide selection of tickets available now, priced from just £15 for London, rising to around £28 for the majority of dates.
