Steve Aoki

With one finger on the electro trigger and the rest of his hand coiled around the barrel of a gun marked 'dubstep, American label manager, DJ and producer of tough fidgety beats, Steve Aoki, has been firing anything but blanks for the past few years. Via his own Dim Mak imprint, the tousled bearded guru has pumped out pin-sharp examples of funky, electro, dubstep and, well, whatever you want to make of the accompanying video single 'Beat Down', featuring Angger Dimas and Iggy Azalea. It's a bit of a banger, whatever it is.

With a string of sell-out club nights behind him, including London's KOKO last year, plus a couple of hits over here ('No Beef' and 'I'm in the House'), it's not surprising that Aoki is heading back to the capital for something very special indeed. And. It's. Free.

Entitled the 'Steve Aoki Flash Rave', the surprise party will take place on Tuesday 8th May at the East Village club in Shoreditch. As a follow-up to his US Deadmeat tour and a pre-cursor to the forthcoming summer promo gigs for his imminent album, 'Wonderland', our man will bring some Dim Mak lovin' with him, as well as special guests and a box full of electro-rave classics.

The event is presented in association with dance mag Mixmag, playlist-streamers Spotify and PR gurus Get In!, so it'll be as proper as you can get. You just need to register for FREE very limited tickets NOW, to be in with a chance of, well, getting in!

You can do this by heading to www.steveaoki.com/flashrave. Successful entrants will be told on Tuesday morning, so get those glad-rags ready! Good luck!
