His sole 2012 show takes place at the Manchester Arena (formerly the MEN Arena) on Saturday 28th July, with support to be confirmed. Prices are from £35 and sales for a show that promises to cover his catalogue, old and new, will be very brisk indeed. The servers will suffer - come Armageddon, come.
The Summer Series
This year's Somerset House Summer Series includes full shows from Tim Minchin, two from Jill Scott, The Temper Trap, Katy B, M83, Paloma Faith, Tindersticks, Anna Calvi and more to be announced. All shows take place from between 7th and 17th July, tickets are £25 to £37.50.
After several high-profile summer slots at Wireless, Creamfields and South West Four, Joshua Steele will embark on a headline tour of his own in October, which includes Cardiff, Oxford, Camden and Glasgow amongst others. Prices start at £12.50.
The five-piece will be performing a short UK tour at around the time of their new album's release, starting with Birmingham on 6th June, followed by Manchester on the 7th and finally London on the 8th. The chosen venues are not huge which means you'll have to be quick on the ticket front. We will have them on sale from 9am on Friday 27th April, priced at £14 (£16 for London).
Lemmy's grizzled charges and power-thrashers Anthrax will be joining forces in November for what promises to be a beautifully noisy whiskey-charged UK tour. Wolverhampton is the first stop on 5th November, followed by Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Portsmouth and many more including Brixton on the 17th and finally Bristol on 18th November. Tickets are priced from £27 upwards.
The Awards take place this June, seeing the iconic magazine dole out prizes for who is the loudest, sharpest and brightest in the current metal and rock scene. The accompanying shows on 5th and 6th June include performances from Skindred, Arcane Roots and Architects with supports to be announced in due course.
October will see resume live and release duties, with a few rescheduled shows being switched from May. The full tour schedule now starts with Dublin on 3rd Oct, before winging its way over to Edinburgh on the 5th and continuing to Manchester, Cardiff, Cambridge, Birmingham and finally a rejigged London show on 13th Oct. Dublin is on sale now for €29, while the UK shows cost £20 for regionals and £20-£30 for London.
Another string of grappletastic World Wrestling Entertainment shows will return to the UK in the autumn, under the guises of RAW, Smackdown or RAW Supershows. From 2nd until 9th November, you can see blood, sweat and tears in their leotards from Newcastle to Cardiff. Prices start at £20 - Belfast and Dublin are available now.
The Ting Tings
Renewed interest for the duo's quietly-released new album 'Sounds From Nowheresville' should increase after the announcement of four hefty summer shows, including Dublin, Shepherd's Bush, Manchester and Glasgow. Tickets for the June concerts weigh in at £15 (€21 for Dublin).
James Last Orchestra
Fans of the cheery big band sound of the JLO can look forward to renditions of the many favourites in the band's back catalogue, not least his rock and pop influenced re-tellings of standards such as Here Comes the Sun, Greensleeves and MacArthur Park. Tickets for the Last Tour of 2013 in London and Bournemouth cost £52/£55.
December 2012 will mark the start of the band's 30th anniversary 'XXX' tour, with the first show confirmed as Tavistock's The Wharf on 15th December, followed by Holmfirth, Edinburgh, Salisbury, Birmingham, Manchester and finally, on 22nd December, London. Tickets will cost around £25.
The Midnight Beast
Viral sensations and comedic trios don't visit the UK often, so you'd best be quick for this October tour. Kicking off in Glasgow on 2nd October, the 'I Kicked a Tour in the Face Tour' calls at Manchester, Leeds nd more until Shepherd's Bush on 15th October. Tickets cost from £17.50 and go on sale from 9am on Saturday 28th April.
