Hackney's Victoria Park is looking forward to a busy June. A fortnight ahead of the annual Lovebox three-day festival, E9 is hosting back-to-back one-dayers, with Field Day 2012 on Saturday 2nd and then The Apple Cart 2012 on Sunday 3rd June.
Field Day 2012 sees Franz Ferdinand and The Vaccines line-up with a whole host of top acts including Django Django, Mazzy Star, Rustie, Metronomy, Baxter Dury, Beirut, Gold Panda, Hudson Mohawke, Maya Jane Coles, SBTRKT and Tortoise. Standard tickets are available now for £45.
Get all the latest Field Day gossip, interviews with the 2012 performers and a preview of what to expect by checking out Field Day Radio, with head honcho Tom Baker at the helm. Head over to MixCloud to listen - right here, in fact: www.mixcloud.com/FieldDayRadio/
The Apple Cart 2012, the very next day, sees sets from Billy Bragg, Noah and the Whale, Stornoway, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Penguin Cafe, Scritti Politti, Lianne La Havas, Beth Jeans Houghton, Gaz Coombes and more. Alongside the music are a host of comedians including Sean Lock, Phill Jupitus, Rich Hall, Shappi Khorsandi, Josh Widdicombe and Josie Long. Standard tickets are available now for £35.
However, you can save a few quid on Apple Cart tickets with the Group Leader option; getting six tickets for the price of five - averaging out at under £30 a ticket! Alternatively, you can buy a combined ticket for Field Day and Apple Cart for £69.50 - a saving of more than £10 on the face-value prices.
Better still, you can WIN tickets for free! We have a pair of tickets for The Apple Cart 2012 as well as a pair of joint Field Day/Apple Cart tickets to give away - that's two chances to win. All you have to do is click on the Enter Competition button below and follow the simple instructions.
Deadline for entries is the end of the day on Friday 4th May 2012. Entrants from the UK only!
