Multi-platinum American rockers Incubus probably weren't expecting to be denied their rightful place on Sonisphere's 2012 line-up, but since the rather unexpected demise of Britain's second metal gathering (Download 2012 is the only remaining UK superfest devoted to all things loud and leathery), Brandon Boyd's boys were left empty-handed, gig-wise - until now, that is.

As a clear show of affection for their UK fans, Incubus have just announced a new show for the summer, as part of a pre-existing European Tour. Those in the north will be disappointed to know that the show is further south than Knebworth - Brixton Academy will be the chosen venue and the date will be 9th July 2012. Tickets are on sale from us on Friday 13th April at 9am, priced from £29.50.

This will be their first Brixton Academy appearance since their sold-out triple-whammy residency in 2007 and will strike a chord with fans eager to see them on British soil. Since their last tour in 2011, the band have been plugging their most recent album 'If Not Now, When?', which was released in July last year. The Top 20 album certainly improved upon the performance of 2006's 'Light Grenades', even with the potential lyrical banana-skin of 'romance' and 'love'.

You can expect a career-spanning show at Brixton, plus the possibility of a new song or two.
