The story of sorority girl Elle Woods and her plans to win back her man has been one of the West End's surprise hits of recent times and the national tour continues, tickets on sale now

A dizzy blonde bombshell of a musical, the stage adaptation of the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon as the ditsy Elle Woods, has proven to be something of a smash hit since opening in the West End in 2009.

Since opening, the all-singing stage Elle has been played Sheridan Smith, Susan McFadden and Carley Stenson, while the wider cast has seen performances from Lee Mead, Denise van Outen, Jill Halfpenny and Natalie Casey. The London production won three Olivier Awards last March, including Best New Musical, Best Actress in a Musical (for Sheridan Smith) and Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical (for Jill Halfpenny). From surprising roots has sprung a bona fide hit and, not content with conquering the capital's theatreland, Elle's sizeable blonde ambition has seen a touring production criss-cross the country since July 2011, when it opened in Liverpool.

The touring version sees Faye Brooks continuing in the lead role as Elle, with Dancing on Ice winner Ray Quinn playing her recalcitrant beau Warner and light entertainment legend Les Dennis playing the vindictive Professor Callaghan.

The tour continues tonight in Leicester before heading over to Ireland for shows in Dublin and Belfast. The UK mainland tour resumes in Woking on 7th May, followed by a succession of short runs across the UK including Milton Keynes (from 31st July), York (from 4th September) and, finally, 11 dates at the New Wimbledon Theatre from 25th September 2012.

We have a range of tickets available now for the tour. Prices vary by venue but are generally in the range £25 to £60.

Meanwhile, the final performance of Legally Blonde at London's Savoy Theatre is this Saturday, 7th April; we've tickets available now priced £29 to £66.50. Carley Stenson plays Elle.
