'MDNA' is the name of the new album released this month and the name of Madonna's July UK/ Ireland tour, which just got one date bigger. Birmingham now joins the select list of regions to be graced by the queen of pop, joining London, Edinburgh and Dublin. Tickets for the new date (19th July) will cost £55 (the other dates are already on sale).

'Here and Now' is the name of the most recent Nickelback album and also the 2012 European arena tour which includes UK dates at the O2 Arena on 1st October, then Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle before finishing in Sheffield on the 7th. Tickets range from £35 to £39.50.

Garbage will play the Troxy in May as a prelude to their first UK tour in aeons. That date is long since sold out, so you can expect high demand for the July tour, which starts with another date in London on 1st July, before hitting Wolverhampton, Manchester and finally Glasgow on 4th July. Tickets will start from £29.50.

Maverick Sabre will ensure that he barely has a month to himself this year, with a new tour announced days after finishing his last. Once his summer festival schedule is complete he will play a September/ October tour covering Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and more until Brixton on 6th October. Tickets start at £16 - £18.50 for London.

Soundgarden have been announced as the final headliner for Hyde Park's Hard Rock Calling 2012. The Seattle grungers will be playing the Friday along with Iggy and the Stooges and Cold Chisel. Tickets will cost £50.00.

Steel Panther are another band that can't resist the UK tour scene, with their last tour finishing this month and a new in the offing for November, with dates in Nottingham, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Manchester and finally London on 15th November. Tickets start from £19.50.

The "Lake" from psychedelic prog-rockers Emerson, Lake and Palmer, musician Greg Lake will play his first solo UK dates for six years with his 'Songs of a Lifetime' tour starting in Glasgow on 17th November, with further dates in Newcastle, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cambridge, Guildford and Southampton, before the final gig in London on 25th. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 9AM, priced from £26.50.

An extensive 'Pop Up Shop' tour has been announced for Chris Difford, Glenn Tilbrook and co. this winter, starting in Guildford on 16th November and finishing at the IndigO2 on 14th December. Tickets will cost around £37.50.

Erykah Badu is working on material for a new album with producer Flying Lotus and has been announced as part of the line-up for BluesFest 2012. She will play the Hammersmith Apollo on 27th June, with tickets priced from £27.50. Also added to the line-up is Nick Lowe who will play the Shepherds Bush Empire on 28th June (£20).

Limp Bizkit last played the UK as part of the Sonisphere 2011 line-up. They return this year for a one-off (so far) date in London at the Brixton Academy on 29th May, with tickets priced from £29.50.

Japandroids have not played the UK since 2010, but the Canadian duo will rectify that next month with a short April tour including dates in Manchester, Bristol, London and Nottingham, previewing material from soon-to-be-released album 'Celebration Rock'. Tickets will cost £9.50 for London, £8 for the others.
