Fairytale continues for Heather Peace with 2012 UK tour

The actress and singer is accompanying her forthcoming debut album with an 11-date tour, tickets available now

After a successful career as a television actress, Heather Peace is finally embracing her love of music with a debut studio album slated for release sometime in the spring. She's currently appearing as the new kick-ass teacher with a military past in BBC drama Waterloo Road, following earlier roles in Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Lip Service, SAS drama Ultimate Force and, at its peak, in ITV's London's Burning.

In fact, it was in London's Burning, as a female fire-fighter in a male-dominated profession, that we first saw, or heard, Peace's considerable musical talents. In a 2000 episode, Peace sang a version of Bette Midler's classic The Rose, which was released as a single. It was a glimpse of the actress's softer side, who was fast becoming known for her ability to play the action hero.

A decade after The Rose bothered the charts, Peace - an accomplished singer, songwriter and pianist - is preparing to showcase her musical talent once more with her debut album, Fairytales, and a live tour.

Heather Peace's The Fairytales Tour kicks off in Birmingham on 22nd May, followed by dates in Glasgow, Sheffield, Nottingham, Liverpool and more, before the final date at the Islington Assembly Halls on 5th June. The Manchester gig on 26th May is part of the LadyRock Festival 2012

We have tickets available now, priced £21.50 for Islington and £16.50 for all other dates. Note that 'one more very special date' is still to be announced.
