Eager Wireless Festival music fans in and around the capital need not wait any longer for the remaining line-up announcements, including that all-important Friday headline slot on 6th July which has just been unveiled as dance behemoth, Deadmau5.
The Canadian superstar DJ will lead a Friday line-up which will include rising soul-pop singer Maverick Sabre, as well as an eclectic trio of Knife Party, Feed Me and former Mercury Music Prize winner, Ms Dynamite. Tickets for Deadmau5 will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 16th March, priced from £49.50. Although capacity for the Hyde Park weekend is in the tens of thousands, the tech-house champion has been filling (and selling out) large arenas and open spaces for some years now. Last year, Joel Zimmerman reached 4th place in the annual DJmag.com Top 100 DJs chart - enough votes to fill many London parks.
As for the other star-spangled days across the weekend, Saturday headliner Drake will be joined by fluorescent-haired Nicki Minaj, as well as Example, Professor Green, Wiz Khalifa and special guest Nero. Tickets for this exclusive UK festival appearance for the American rapper and his chums are still available for £49.50 - but they are selling fast. But not quite as fast as Sunday headliner Rihanna and her supporting cast of Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Labrinth and more - tickets for her closing night are still available in limited quantities, priced from £52.50.
