Neal Casal Reschedules his Sweeten the Distance UK 2012 Tour Dates - Tickets on sale now

Posted: 12 years ago

Last year we revealed that New Jersey songwriter Neal Casal and collaborator with Willie Nelson, Jay Olson and Black Crowes' Chris Robinson was due to tour the UK in March 2012, in support of his new album, "Sweeten The Distance". But the whole thing was shelved - until now, that is.

Casal has rescheduled his shows, so make sure you keep May locked on your calendar because he's heading back to the UK for real this time. First stop will be Edinburgh on 26th May, followed by Manchester, Oxford, Bristol and London. There are tickets available for all shows, priced at £14.50 (£16.50 for London).

New Jersey songwriter Neal Casal might not be the most familiar name, per se, but his music career has involved working with some pretty big names. He is perhaps best known for his enduring role as Ryan Adams' lead guitarist of choice on a clutch of his Cardinals albums, including "Easy Tiger" and "Cardinology". But, as well as Adams, Casal has also strummed and riffed on releases from none other than Willie Nelson on his 2006 "Songbird" set, as well as Lucinda Williams, James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Mark Olson (The Jayhawks) and on one my personal favourite albums of 2011, "Bright Examples" by Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion. Expect to hear plenty of songs from that recent album and from across his expansive career.
