The Skints announce headline 2012 tour to follow new album - tickets Friday 24th Feb

The Skints

Formed in London around five years ago, The Skints have ridden the welcome resurgence of ska and reggae in recent times, blending exotic influences with homegrown urban accents to deliver punchy, energy-driven modern ska rock.

Throughout March and early April, Jamie, Joshua, Jonathan and Marcia will be supporting You Me At Six on their UK tour, which will accompanying the release of The Skints' second album 'Part & Parcel'.

Their 2009 debut, 'Live.Breathe.Build.Believe', had been released on Sonic Boom Six's Rebel Alliance Recordings label but 'Part & Parcel' comes from Bomber Music after the four-piece launched an online campaign to raise the funds (from fans) needed to record it. Allowing three months to meet their target, they raised the cash required in just 11 days. After the first album had shipped nearly 8,000 copies without any advance publicity, perhaps no one should have been surprised.

With the You Me At Six dates, the new record and, inevitably, a summer of festival appearances (not least the London International Ska Festival 2012 in May - tickets now), The Skints are ready for a headline tour.

The Part & Parcel 2012 UK Tour kicks off in Bristol on 2nd October, taking in Manchester, Glasgow and more, before the final date at Scala in London on 11th October 2011.

We will have tickets available from 9am on Friday 24th February, priced just a tenner.

We also still have Premium (and a few Standard) tickets left for the You Me At Six dates in March and April, but you'll have to be quick.
