With yesterday's Glasgow gig postponed, news has come through today that the remaining four dates of James Morrison's Jan/ Feb 2012 UK tour have also been postponed due to him picking up a sore throat.
Speaking about the postponements yesterday, the singer - who's up for a Brit in the 'Best Male Solo Artist' category - had this to say:
Hi guys. I'm really so sorry about the gig postponements. I've picked up an annoying throat infection and the doctors say I mustn't sing for a few more days yet or it will just get worse. I've had no option but to postpone the rest of the UK tour and rest up. I'm gutted - particularly as these UK shows have been some of the best that I've ever played and you guys have been absolutely amazing!! I know people have travel plans messed up and will be put out by this and I am genuinely sorry. But we're already working hard to reschedule all of the postponed shows for later in the year, so I look forward to seeing you guys very soon. Please bear with me and I'll be back as soon as I can.
The rescheduled dates have now been announced, with the first being Nottingham on 27th June, followed by Bristol (3rd July), Southend (4th), Glasgow (10th), Newcastle (11th) and finally Leeds Academy a month-and-a-bit later on 30th August. Tickets remain valid for the rescheduled dates, but if preferred, ticket holders can obtain a refund from their point of purchase.
Tickets are sold out for all dates except Newcastle and Southend (both of which have literally a handful remaining), but more may become available if people opt for refunds.
