East London's lofty position and role as self-proclaimed 'centre of the universe' has been given a further boost with the first line-up announcement of the 2012 Lovebox Weekender.

Founded in 2002 by Groove Armada, who wanted to hold a great party and ending up as the curators for the first event, Clapham Common's Lovebox on a Summer's Day. After one more year in South London, Lovebox transferred to its current home in Hackney's Victoria Park, garnering awards left, right and centre and stretching its capacity to 60,000 across the three days. Not surprisingly for its 10th birthday, the organizers will be pulling out all the stops to smother your summer with layers of great music and performance, as well as confirm new dates for the event - 15th to 17th June.

Friday's line up boasts Hot Chip, Crystal Castles and Magnetic Man plus a ridiculously essential stream of DJs and clubbing figureheads such as The 2 Bears, Breakage, Toddla T, Roska and more, while Saturday features Friendly Fires, Emeli Sandé, Bobby Womack, Kelis and Little Dragon. And just to prove that no stone (or day) has been left unturned, Sunday will wield heavyweights such as Holly Johnson, Chic, Patrick Wolf, Horse Meat Disco, Jonny Woo and Tiga amongst the entertainers.

Many more names will be announced in due course but meanwhile, you can grab tickets right now at various prices. Weekend tickets cost £99, Fri & Sat tickets cost £65, Sat & Sun cost £87.50, day tickets for Saturday OR Sunday cost £49.50, while Friday costs £29.
