Now then, I don't want to make a meal of this, but Lydia Lunch has had to postpone her February 2012 UK tour.

The American singer formed the band Big Sexy Noise, which features Gallon Drunk's James Johnston and Terry Edwards, in 2009. 'Trust The Witch' is the name of their second album, which was released in September.

Lydia and band were due over here as part of their European tour, which would have started in Manchester on Wednesday 15th February. This week, however, the drummer has broken one of his fingers, causing the tour to be postponed.

The UK leg of the band tour was scheduled for Manchester, Preston, Glasgow and London.

With the exception of the Preston date, which is going ahead (sans band), all other dates are expected to be rescheduled.

The Preston date is now billed as "Lydia Lunch solo plus Inca Babies, The Gilded Palace of Sin and No Womb". Tickets cost just £10.

Update: New dates announced

The first dates to be rescheduled are the Manchester and Islington gigs which will now take place on 11th and 13th May. Tickets cost £12.
