Marc Almond's health prompts withdrawal from shows - Roland Gift and KT Tunstall confirmed as supports, tickets still selling fast
Jools Holland

Celebrating 20 years of his flagship music-show, 'Later With....', boogie-woogie bandleader and TV presenter Jools Holland will be touring the UK and Ireland during the autumn, armed with his trademark piano and a slew of top-notch guest supports.

Unfortunately, there's been a hitch - key act Marc Almond has been forced to withdraw from all Holland shows due to health issues. He was due to undertake surgery in December but, at the advice of doctors, has been told it must be during October. There fore, with Marc Almond sadly out of the picture, Holland has had to employ the combined services of two other performers.

Roland Gift, soulful vocalist with '80s outfit Fine Young Cannibals, will appear at around 75% of the shows while sparkly Scottish rocker KT Tunstall will round off the remainder of the UK shows. Tunstall will appear at Holland's evenings in Aberdeen (22nd Nov), both Glasgow shows (23rd/24th), both Royal Albert Hall shows (30th/1st Dec - both close to selling out), Plymouth (14th Dec), Brighton (15th) and Cardiff (16th). Roland Gift will appear at the remainder, as well as the Royal Albert Hall with Tunstall on 30th Nov.

Many shows have sold out already (Reading, Stoke, Southampton and Sheffield may have Premiums available), but the rest still have face-value tickets left starting from around £34-£35.

Meanwhile, you can catch Jools Holland's 'Later With...' on BBC2 on Tuesday 25th September and Friday 28th September. Muse, The Beach Boys, PiL and The xx are expected to appear on the first episode.
