Various Cruelties announce April 2012 dates - tickets Fri 27th Jan
Since forming in 2010, Leeds-born, London-based indie pop four-piece Various Cruelties have built up a bit of momentum, thanks in part to an early slot supporting The Vaccines and also some national radio exposure from BBC 6 Music's Steve Lamacq.
A nod from Lammo may be very encouraging but, ultimately, if the tunes are no good it won't be enough to put food on the table. Thankfully, Various Cruelties' singles to date, 'Chemicals', 'If it Wasn't For You' and 'Great Unknown', the latter released on New Year's Day, all showcase thoughtful, soulful indie pop crowned with Liam O'Donnell's distinctive vocal.
Their eponymously-titled debut record is set for release on 2nd April 2012 and Liam, Beanie, Adam and Chris are taking the new album on a headline tour in April
Various Cruelties' spring tour kicks off in Southsea on 17th April, followed by dates in London (ULU), Leeds, Manchester and more, before the final gig of the run at Thekla in Bristol on 26th April 2012.
We will have tickest available when they go on sale at 9am on Friday 27th January, priced £8 to £10.
The final gig of the current tour is tomorrow night (26th January) at Manchester's Deaf Institute. Tickets are sold out.
