Camden Crawl 2012 gets Fearless with Death in Vegas announced as festival openers - tickets on sale now

Posted: 12 years ago

It's January, once again, which means it must be time for the organizers of this year's Camden Crawl to leap up and down with consummate excitement, armed with an announcement. It's slaps on backs all round because, guess what? The first name out of the hat is techno-rock outfit, Death in Vegas, who sold out most of their recent UK tour. Recent album, "Trans-Love Energies", issued in 2011, scored DiV a Top 75 album (their fourth) so expect a good response to this announcement.

Richard Fearless, the main Vegas man will appear at KOKO on Friday 4th May as part of a four-strong line-up at the Camden Crawl 2012 Launch Night. As well as plenty of other eclectic bands due on the bill, Club NME will round the night off, before the festival proper begins the next day. Tickets for DiV's KOKO headliner are on sale now, priced at £20.

Tickets for the Camden Crawl festival have already seen unprecedented demand, with Early Birds snapped up in a short time. Standard Weekenders are still available, priced at £67.50 (£150 for VIP tickets) or you can combine a Weekender with the separate KOKO opening night for just £77.50.

With the music line-up yet to be announced, you might be wondering what else is happening at this year's big bash on 5th and 6th May. There will be comedy performances at several Camden venues, special exhibitions, a record fair, dance performances and even some hip-hop Shakespeare. Numerous live gigs and club nights will also take place over the weekend, all of which will be revealed as soon as we hear about them!
