Juan Zelada announces 2012 UK tour to follow new album - tickets now/Friday 27th Jan

Posted: 12 years ago

London-based Madrileño Juan Zelada has been steadily building up a head of steam in the last six months, with his first two singles 'Breakfast in Spitalfields' and 'The Blues Remain' both being selected as Radio 2's Record of the Week and making the station's 'A list'.

A full album of the singer-songwriter's soulful Spanish-inflected pop is set for release on 3rd February, when his debut record 'High Ceilings and Collarbones' will be released. Given that the Radio 2 audience peaks daily at around 8 million, it is highly likely that 'High Ceilings and Collarbones' will sell well and Juan Zelada's stock will rise yet higher.

When it does, fully expect demand for his recently announced 23-date UK tour to rocket (much of his December 2011 tour sold out). It's likely to be the last occasion for some time that the Spaniard plays in such humble surroundings.

Juan Zelada kicks off his UK tour at the legendary Roadmender in Northampton on 28th March, followed by gigs Cambridge, London (Bush Hall),Nottingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Bournemouth and lots more, before the final gig at Komedia in Brighton on 29th April 2012.

We have tickets for some dates available now, with the rest going on sale at 9am on Friday 27th January mostly priced less than £10. The Sheffield gig on 2nd April is free (free!).

Juan is also appearing at a Next Big Thing 2012 gig at the Jazz Café on 5th February and also a support slot for AHAB in Liverpool on 16th February.
