Some rather big news has just leaked out of the Sum 41 camp - the band have had to shelve their appearance as co-headliners with New Found Glory on the upcoming Kerrang! Relentless Tour 2012. Unfortunately, Deryck Whibley's continual back-problems have resumed and he is literally going to have to sit this tour out - possibly in a wheelchair (that's not too good).

In a statement, Whibley says:

I feel really terrible about letting down the fans," says Deryck. "I injured my back and the doctors are saying that I could be in a wheelchair. So, as much as I wanted to be able to do it, I've got to look at reality, and for the first time I've got to listen to somebody else and not just myself. We're all really upset about this; we've had such a great relationship with our UK fans. We were really looking forward to this tour.

But, in true time-honoured rock tradition and in the words of Freddie Mercury, 'the show must go on' and Kerrang! organizers have swiftly recruited The Blackout as replacements for Sum 41 and the tour will start as planned in Dublin on 4th Feb. That particular show is sold out but you can still buy tickets for Dublin on the following night, Southampton, Norwich, Cardiff, Newcastle and Birmingham, priced from £20. All other shows are sold out of face-value tickets, with some Premium resales available.

To recap, the tour is still going ahead, but the line-up for the Kerrang! tour now reads as New Found Glory, The Blackout, letlive. and While She Sleeps.
