Chiddy Bang to fly in for 2012 UK dates - tickets on sale now

Posted: 12 years ago

Philadelphia hip hop duo Chiddy Anamege and Xaphoon Jones are following the release of their debut studio album with a short run of UK shows in March.

As previews go, the pair's 2010 EP 'Chiddy Bang: The Preview' promised much. Breaking into the Billboard Top 100 and hitting No 11 on the US rap chart, 'The Preview' produced debut single 'Opposite of Adults', which charted well all over the world and established a connection with UK audiences, peaking at No 12 on our own countdown.

The keenly anticipated debut full-length release, 'Breakfast', will be served up on 28th February. Advance singles 'Mind Your Manners' and 'Ray Charles' suggest that, like 'The Preview', 'Breakfast' will showcase Chiddy Bang's fun-loving use of unusual samples. A week after the new record is issued, Chiddy and Xaphoon will be playing the UK's three biggest cities with a whistle-stop tour.

Chiddy Bang kick off their short UK tour (with a bang) at London's XOYO on 6th March, followed by a gig at the HMV Institute in Birmingham and, finally, at the Manchester Academy on Friday 9th March 2012.

We have tickets available now priced £12.50 for London and £10 for Birmingham and Manchester. Ahead of the March shows, the duo are appearing at the Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen on 8th February. The Hoxton gig is already sold out so sales for the March shows are expected to be brisk.
