After the success of last spring's acoustic dates, as well as the full plugged-in tour in October, Bowling For Soup's Jaret Reddick and Erik Chandler are returning to the UK to play another string of unplugged dates.
It's been 18 years since BFS formed in Wichita Falls, Texas, and the four-piece are coming of age by sending lead singer and guitarist Jaret and bassist Erik out on the road once more to showcase the best of the band's impressive back catalogue in a distinctly intimate, acoustic style. Since their eponymous 1994 debut, BFS have released 11 studio records, the latest being last year's 'Fishin' For Woos', and all have been packed with spot-on up-to-the-minute cultural touchstones including burritos, movies and, er, woos.
The acoustic shows promise to be typically entertaining, relaxed affairs with support coming from People On Vacation (featuring Jaret and Smile Smile's Ryan Hamilton) and a solo set from Erik Chandler, meaning both BFS members will be putting in a double-shift.
Jaret and Erik will be kicking off the UK tour at the legendary Roadmender in Northampton on 26th March, followed by shows in Glasgow (King Tut's), Manchester, York, Birmingham and Southend, before the final gig at KOKO in London on Sunday 1st April 2012.
We will have tickets available when they go on sale at 9am on Friday 20th January, priced from around £13.
Most of the last acoustic tour sold-out quickly, so do not leave it late.
