One Night with Joan Collins, March 2012 - tickets available now
Joan Collins OBE is one of that special kind of British stars. An actor who has lived and worked all over the world and anchored one of America's most successful ever TV shows, somehow, she remains a distinctly British kind of superstar.
Open, accessible, mischievous and as happy with a cup of tea as a Bellini, Ms Collins never seems that far removed from her north London roots.
But she has been on some journey. It would be churlish to speak of her age but it is undeniable that Joan Collins looks remarkable for her years; even more surprising given the time spent schmoozing and partying with Hollywood's elite. After making her screen debut in the fifties, she remains most famous for her roles in movie adaptations of 'The Stud' and 'The Bitch', both novels by her sister Jackie, and her legendary turn as Alexis Carrington in Dynasty.
The stories of the mega-rich bitch and her devilish schemes for money, power and, frequently, revenge, cemented Joan Collins as a worldwide star and, after the sauciness and nudity of the seventies, set a course for the girl from Maida Vale to cruise into her autumn years as something of a gem - a throwback to Hollywood's Golden Age somehow undiminished by the intervening years
Joan Collins is returning to the UK stage with her one-woman show, sharing 'stories and secrets' from throughout her stellar career, all delivered, no doubt, with the customary wit and charm of one of our brightest stars.
One Night with Joan Collins kicks off with a date at the St Albans Arena on 13th March, followed by five successive nights at London's Leicester Square Theatre from 14th March.
We have tickets available now for all dates, priced £35. Ms Collins' October 2011 dates at the LST sold out in double-quick time so best not to hang around.
