Bearded Theory

Derbyshire's fabulous Kedleston Hall will soon be reverberating to the sounds of several top names from the world of agit-punk, ska, dance and rock, as Bearded Theory reaches its 5th year! The family festival for those who want a bit less advertising and a lot more thought-provoking music, entertainment and activities, Bearded Theory 2012 promises an even bigger and better event during the late spring.

Whilst not exactly punching above its weight in size, Bearded Theory is certainly packing a punch with its line-up for the three-day bash, which runs from 18th to 20th May. Anarcho-crust legends Levellers, punk-goths The Damned and Canvey's rock 'n' rollers Dr Feelgood have been confirmed as the rockier headliners, while chillout/dub matters are taken care of by System 7, Dreadzone and Banco De Gaia.

But that's not all - you can also catch a rare festival appearance from the South West's folk-duo Show of Hands and the resurgent pioneering Radical Dance Faction, Credit to the Nation and Back to the Planet. Add in some new areas and an upgrade to local food and beer and you have an ideal weekend in the solitude of the Derbyshire countryside. Nearest stations are Derby or Duffield and you've got the M1 about 10 miles East.

Tickets to Bearded Theory 2012 are a bargain-priced £74 for adults, £40 for teens (13-17), £25 for kids (6-12) or free for under 5s. In these recessionary times, you can pay 50% now and 50% by 1st March, using the Deposit Scheme (for adults and kids). Click our Buy Tickets buttons for further details!
