Attack Attack! [US] to launch UK assault in March 2012 - tickets: Friday 16th December

Posted: 12 years ago

Eclectic, energetic exclamation-mark-eschewing Ohio rockers Attack Attack! (not to be confused with South Wales' 'Attack! Attack!') [also touring early next year - Ed] have announced a new album and UK tour dates.

Their third studio album, 'This Means War', will be released in mid-January, followed by an extensive US tour that begins a week or so later. After the final date in Poughkeepsie, New York, in late February, the four-piece are bringing their mix of metal, techno and, occasionally, dubstep to the UK in early March.

Expectations are high for 'This Means War' after 2010's 'Attack Attack!' reached No 26 on the Billboard chart and topped the indie countdown, as their changing sound found a wider audience. The first single from the new record, 'The Motivation', was released this week.

After a turbulent few years, 2009 saw keys man and producer Caleb Shomo take over lead vocal duties after first Austin Carlile and then Nick Barham had both fronted the group and left. With Shomo at the mic and on the desk, Attack Attack! have gone from strength to strength (their first record had topped out at No 193 on the Billboard chart) and the This Means War UK dates promise to pack out some comparatively intimate venues.

Attack Attack! kick off the UK leg of their This Means War tour in Bristol on 3rd March, followed by dates in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and London (Underworld), before the final gig of the tour in Tunbridge Wells on 8th March 2012.

We will have tickets available when they go on sale at 9AM on Friday 16th December, priced £10 for London and £9 for other venues.
