Many an illusionist has claimed to be the world's best. If commercial success and critical acclaim are a measure of greatness, then the Dutch magician Hans Klok can rightly claim to be among the world's finest. He certainly asserts that he is the planet's 'fastest magician'.

In the great tradition of magicians, Klok is first and foremost a showman who seeks to chill, thrill and shock audiences with audacious escapes and improbable feats. And he's right good at it. After a handful of earlier Las Vegas shows to his name, in 2007 he secured a six-month residency with his show 'The Beauty of Magic' at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

With The Lovely Debbie McGee still doggedly supporting Paul Daniels, Hans Klok had to settle for pneumatic Playboy star and Baywatch clothes avoider Pamela Anderson as his glamorous stage assistant. Ms Anderson is not helping out for the London shows but The Houdini Experience promises to be a captivating show nonetheless.

With his Divas of Magic and a company of world-class variety and circus acts, Klok will perform illusions, daredevil stunts and wizardry 'unlike anything ever seen before'. His nerve-shredding feats of escapology will invoke the true spirit of the legendary Houdini as Hans Klok emulates the great man in a thrilling family show that will be one of the spring's hottest tickets.

Hans Klok in The Houdini Experience begins a five-week residency at the Peacock Theatre in London on 23rd February, running until 25th March 2012.
